Join our staff of dental experts for Story Time at Barnes & Noble Booksellers Saturday February 21 at 1 p.m. where kids learn about oral health through interactive stories and playful activities. Champagne Family Dentistry staff members volunteer to read aloud and guide activities teaching young children about the importance of oral health.
Tooth decay, or dental carries, affect children in the United States more than any other chronic infectious disease, as reported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. One way to combat this statistic is through education. By teaching kids about oral health and how to properly care for the mouth, Truckee Meadows can become a region where fewer children are afflicted with daily pain due to tooth decay.
At the event, children have the opportunity to read aloud to the group, practicing reading comprehension, and interact with other kids.
Come out for a fun-filled afternoon learning about oral health.
