Once again, Stead Elementary has proved how amazing they are! Back in May, Champagne Family Dentistry helped the students of Stead Elementary collect shoes for an organization called Think Kindness. This amazing group of people helped provide people in Kenya with shoes… and of course, an unlimited amount of kindness! If you would like to know more about how Stead Elementary helped Think Kindness collect shoes and became the KINDEST SCHOOL IN AMERICA, check out one of our previous blog posts HERE.
The kindest students in America (along with the wonderful people at Think Kindness) are now helping to collect Denim for the Reno Rodeo Foundation, a foundation which is “committed to enhancing and enriching the lives of Northern Nevada families by aiding children with extraordinary needs, building community partnerships, and providing scholarships to the university of Nevada, Reno.” This non-profit organization has been helping those in our community for over 28 years and we are blessed to be a small part of their upcoming Denim Drive!
What is the Denim Drive?
“The Reno Rodeo Denim Drive is an annual community event to collect NEW (or gently used) denim clothing, socks and underwear for abused and neglected infants, children, and teens who have been rescued from unsafe homes in 13 Northern Nevada Counties.”
How can you help?
Champagne Family Dentistry will be helping Stead Elementary School collect denim until October 1st! The school is hoping to win another Think Kindness challenge by collecting 1,440 pieces of denim! Denim can include jeans, shorts, shirts, jackets… anything made of denim! While new denim is preferred, lightly used and washed denim will also be accepted. Items can be dropped off at our office (735 Sparks Blvd) or at Stead Elementary School (10580 Stead Blvd).
The Denim Drive Deadline for Champagne Family Dentistry and Stead Elementary is October 1st at 4pm; however, the Reno Rodeo Foundation will launch their official Denim Drive on November 10th. If you would like to donate directly to the foundation, please call 775.322.9875!
Thank you for helping us to help our community!! We appreciate you!
